The Elms Native Plant Demonstration Gardens
The Elms Native Plant Demonstration Gardens (8) are located on the Elms property. The purpose of these gardens are to inspire, educate, and provide a source of seed for the Elms Native Plant Nursery.
Several existing gardens at Elms were revitalized beginning in 2012. In addition, new gardens were created; the Redbud Garden, the wetland garden, the wildflower meadow and the milkweed meadow.

The Elms Redbud Garden
The Redbud Garden was originally prepared and planted by Great Mills High School students in Mr. Davies' social studies classes. Located between two of the fenced grow-out areas where service learning students tend nursery plants, it provides a showy demonstration of both the beauty of native plants as well as the interesting insects that utilize them
