Structure for Environmental Learning
Structures of Environmental learning at Elms range from bird feeders and bird houses, to boardwalks. We also have nearly 3 miles of trails and over 40 tagged specimen trees. In addition, our native plant gardens plants are labeled.
Plant Labels Made for the Elms Native Plant Demonstration Gardens (Ordered 01/2014)
Master Gardener Volunteer researched, designed, and ordered labels for the native plants growing in the Elms Native Plant Demonstration Gardens. Plant labels will not only make it easier for volunteers that help maintain gardens but will also educate the public about the plants growing in our gardens and their wildlife value.
Money for these 30 plant labels was donated by the garden club.

Tagged Specimen Trees (2012- present)
Over 36 native trees are tagged in the immediate area surrounding the center. These trees are used for a tree ID hunt activity that is done by visiting 7th graders.
New specimen trees continue to be planted at Elms.
